Q. Who are Altitude Accounting?
A. Great question! We are an accountancy practice based in Guildford, Surrey. Our passion is elevating SMEs and like-minded business owners to Think Tall and achieve their business and personal aspirations.
Our goal is to go beyond your expectations of your accountant and provide the practical business planning and strategic positioning in parallel to your accounting, bookkeeping, tax and statutory compliance needs.

Q. What accounting software does Altitude use?
A. Although we are familiar (and proficient) with many of the leading cloud accounting software platforms, the majority of our clients use Xero to manage their finances. As a Xero Gold Partner, our Squad have a huge amount of technical and practical experience helping businesses like yours to get more from their numbers.

Q. Can you help me switch cloud accounting platforms or setup a new Xero account?
A. Of course! We’ve helped a number of business owners and finance teams to setup their first (and even consolidate) Xero business account or switch to Xero from another cloud accounting platform provider.
The process is straightforward, but whatever your situation or requirement, we recommend that we first chat through your current accounting setup, your needs and aspiration to ensure the setup/migration is optimised for your needs, that the process is as smooth as possible and you’re ready to go right from the off.

A. Of course. Whatever your reason for switching/changing your accountant/bookkeeper, we’re here to listen, understand and act in order to help you achieve your aspirations. We’ve worked with a number of clients to take on their accounting and/or provide extra support to their existing finance function. Q. How do you charge?
A. We don’t list the prices of our services on our website because we don’t believe that ‘one size fits all’. Every business is different from its products/services, its ethos and reason for being, right the way through to your personal and business aspirations.
If you’re interested to see how we stack up against our competitors, then we’d recommend you talk to us and let us take some time to understand you and your requirements. Following this chat, we’ll build you a proposal of services based on what you need and what we believe you need to grow your business. Q. If I have a problem, query or question will I be ‘on the clock’ and be charged for your advice?
A. NO! We know that many accountants and advisors typically work to the billable hour, but at Altitude we bill based on outputs, not time spent and are committed to adding value. We want to help business owners meet their aspirations and we genuinely care about you and your goals so billing by the hour is simply not compatible with our approach.

Q. Do you provide Xero training?
A. Many of our Squad have achieved Xero Certified Advisor status which means we have a strong understanding and practical knowledge of how to use and get the most out of Xero for our clients. We don’t provide accredited training courses in Xero, but our Squad can provide on-site or remote support and guidance in navigating and using Xero and a range of integrated apps including Hubdoc, Futrli, Taxfiler, ApprovalMax, Spotlight and Float.
